Before your first withdrawal can be processed, the lottery licences issued to Golden Casket require that you verify the information you provided during registration.

what you need to do

How you verify your account will depend on your membership type;

  • If you joined Golden Casket online before October 4, 2011 you will need to send ID documents to Golden Casket. See the section below 'Document based verification'
  • If you joined Golden Casket online after October 4, 2011 or you are a Tatts.com member, you can verify your account online.
You only have 90 days from the date of registration to verify your account or it will be closed.  If you do not verify your account within this timeframe, you may contact us to verify your account within one year from the date of registration and we may re-open your account. 

By law, any funds in an account that remains unverified one year from the date of registration will be sent to the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR).

for members who joined Golden Casket online after October 4, 2011

If you are a Qld resident who joined Golden Casket online after October 4, 2011 just click the Verify Account button at the top of the screen. This enables you to verify your account online, with no paperwork.

document based account verification

for members who joined before October 4, 2011

If you joined before October 4, 2011 you will not see a Verify Account button. You will need to verify your account by sending us copies of your ID documents which prove your age, name and Queensland residency. You can send these by email, fax or mail.

ID documents you can use

Section 1 Documents  
Evidence of Change of Name Documents
If you have changed your name, or your name is different to the details on the document(s) provided, you can provide an Evidence of Change of Name document from the Registrar of Births, Deaths & Marriages (BDM). Acceptable documents include; a Change of Name Certificate issued by BDM, a Marriage Certificate issued by BDM or an amended Birth Certificate issued by BDM. Divorce papers Decree Nisi or Absolute issued by a court may also be acceptable providing they show the name being reverted to.
You must provide a Section 1 document. ID must exactly match your details on the Player Registration Form.
If you provide a Queensland Drivers Licence, no section 2 or 3 documents are required.

  • Drivers Licence (current)
  • Birth Certificate
  • Citizen Certificate (Government issued)
Section 2 Documents  
ID from this list must show your name and current Queensland address (PO Box is not accepted).

Documents must be current (ie issued within the last 12 months).
  • Electricity, gas or phone account
  • Services Notice (rates notice, land tax valuation notice, insurance premium notice, internet service provider statement, or vehicle registration document)
  • Letter from your employer certified by a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Declarations, Solicitor or Barrister
  • Letter or statement from a Tertiary education institution eg TAFE or a university
  • Centrelink Pensioner Concession card or Health care card (please ensure the card has not expired)
  • Letter from Centrelink
  • Residential Tenancy Agreement or rental receipt issued by licensed real estate agent
  • Australian Electoral Commission enrolment verification
Section 3 Documents  
If no photo ID is shown on ID from Section 1 or 2, you must provide one of these documents, as well as the documents from Sections 1 & 2. ID from this list must show your name as per the Lotto Direct Player Registration Form.
  • Employer photo ID card
  • Industry Association photo ID card
  • Student Card with photo from a tertiary education institution
