Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot continues to reach new heights with the latest milestone being an unprecedented $42 million jackpot for the first time in the game’s 88-year history. As the jackpot continues to break records we are conducting near-daily draws in the hopes of crowning Australia’s next multi-millionaire.

Australian lottery players keen for their chance to snare the jackpot prize may want to consider the type of entry they purchase.

We’ve crunched the numbers from 2018 and while we haven’t crowned a Mega Jackpot winner in the past 172 draws, we have crowned 172 1st Prize winners who have taken home a guaranteed prize of $200,000.

So, we can reveal that the entry type that most commonly takes home the 1st prize is a ‘Random’ entry type, where the numbers are randomly generated by the lottery terminal.

Just under 60% of our 1st Prize winners are enjoying their $200,000 windfall after choosing this entry type.

The other entry type available to Lucky Lotteries player is a ‘Consecutive’ entry where the numbers generated for you by the lottery terminal are in consecutive order.

Many winners tell us they prefer to spread their ticket numbers far and wide across the ticket number spectrum using ‘Random’ numbers while others say they prefer ‘Consecutive’ numbers in case their number was just one off the winning ticket number and win a consolation prize.

Remember, you don’t need a large entry for your chance to win, with many happy winners taking home 1st Prize with just one number.

Data shows that for both ‘Random’ and ‘Consecutive’ entry types, the majority of our winners took home the 1st Prize with small number entries.

For the ‘Random’ entry type, we saw that 50 of our winners simply had one number, followed closely by 21 winners who had two random numbers.

Looking at the ‘Consecutive’ entry types we found that 26 of our winners had just two numbers followed by 15 who had five.

Whichever entry type you choose, it’s important that you get in early and grab an entry into the next draw because as soon as the tickets are sold out – the draw could take place and you could miss your chance to become a multi-millionaire.
