A hardworking man from Stuart Park ‘jumped up and down and was jigging about’ last night when he discovered he won 1st Prize in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The Darwin player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1247, drawn Wednesday 13 March 2019. As well as winning the guaranteed 1st Prize, the happy man also won a consolation prize of $1,000 boosting his total win to $201,000.

Confirming his win with us this morning, the man recalled how he discovered he was $201,000 richer last night.

“I felt an array of emotions last night when I saw I won on the app,” he admitted.

“I needed to clarify that it wasn’t a hoax before I got excited.

“When I went on the website I checked the results and realised I had actually won!

“That’s when I started jumping up and down and did a scary dance! I was jigging about! If anyone saw me they would’ve laughed!

“I’m glad you’ve called me to confirm it. It definitely feels real now! I was in bed, half asleep when you called, but now I am wide awake!”

The hardworking man said celebrations started immediately after he checked the results online and saw he won. “I celebrated with my dad last night with a few drinks,” he laughed.

“We had a big BBQ dinner and I bought a really fancy bottle of champagne.

“Dad was stirring me up, he said ‘mate if this is a hoax, you just spent quite a bit on a bottle of champagne!’.

“He just couldn’t believe it. We went onto the results page on the website a bunch of times last night to make sure it was legit!”

When asked how he planned to spend his prize, the Darwin man told us it would help set him up for the future.

“I feel so relieved. This gives me financial security,” he said happily.

“It certainly takes all the pressure off. It means I have money for the future.

“This will make such a big difference to my life.

“It will go straight into a savings account and then I will put some towards a new house.

“This is an absolute boost. I am rapt!”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his two consecutive number entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
