Young Edmondson Park mum delighted to discover suspected scam is actually $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win!
A woman in her 30s from Edmondson Park was delighted to discover today that what she thought was a scam was actually a $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win.
The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1275, drawn Friday 12 April 2019.
When we contacted the winner this afternoon to confirm the exciting news, the happy mum admitted she initially thought her win was a scam.
“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Thank you so much,” she screamed with delight.
“I thought this was a scam!
“I called my husband after I checked my online account and he didn’t believe it. He said it was a scam! I tried to convince him otherwise but he wouldn’t believe me. I am so glad it isn’t!
“I can’t even explain how much this means to me and how I feel right now.
“If you looked at me right now you would see how big my smile is and how teary I am! I have butterflies!
“I am shaking so much right now.”
The excited player admitted she bought the winning ticket on a whim.
“I went onto the app last night and I saw the jackpot was huge so I just bought a ticket. It was a completely spur of the moment decision,” she shared.
“I never thought I would win $200,000! I have won $15, $10, and other small prizes like this, but nothing ever as big as this one! It is a shock.”
When we asked how she planned to spend her prize, the Sydney mum said it would completely change her young family’s life.
“This will change our life. It will be such a help,” she said.
“I will put some towards our mortgage, give some to my family and then we will take our family on a beautiful holiday to the beach!
“I have a young family, so we will put some towards our kid’s school fees too.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two random numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
