Eight Torrensville locals are walking around with a winning smile this morning after their syndicate entry scored division one in last night’s Monday and Wednesday X Lotto draw.

The store syndicate, set up by Brickworks Marketplace, Shop t15 Brickworks Marketplace, South Road, Torrensville, was the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday and Wednesday X Lotto draw 3841 on Wednesday 6 February 2019. The entry took home the guaranteed division one prize of $1,000,000.00.

In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s System 8 entry also won division three 18 times and division four 45 times, bolstering the syndicate’s total prize to $1,009,167.85.

Each member of the syndicate receives a share worth $126,145.98.

It is the second division one winning entry Brickworks Marketplace has sold in just over two weeks after they sold a division one winning entry in Saturday X Lotto worth $1,029,708.99 in draw 3913, drawn 19 January 2019.

Brickworks Marketplace owner Nick Alexander said he was thrilled to have sold another division one winning entry.

“We are on a bit of a winning streak!” he laughed.

“We only set up the syndicate yesterday morning so it must have been a lucky one right off the bat.

“We nicknamed it ‘Brickworks Boys’ as we’ve had a few local tradies dropping into the outlet each day.

“They will all be stoked when we get to break the news their entry has won division one.

“Let’s hope we sell another one soon and make it a hat-trick!”

When speaking with us this morning to confirm their win, one of the syndicate members recalled their joy of discovering the news.

“I couldn’t believe it!” he exclaimed.

“I am so happy I get to share it with seven other people. It’s great I get to share the joy with my friends.

“I hope to use my prize towards investing in property and I also want to share a bit with my family.

“It’s not a huge amount, but I’m not a greedy person, and it’s certainly more than I’ve ever won before so I’ll take it!

“I’ve been playing for about 25 years and the only other big win I’ve had is when I won division two, so it’s great to say I’ve finally won division one.

“I believe it now! I believe it can happen to anyone!”
