Oz Lotto has jackpotted to an eye-watering $80 million for Tuesday night’s draw – the highest jackpot level the game has reached in seven years!

With $80 million on offer, Australians could experience a flashback to 2012, which is the last time the Oz Lotto jackpot sky-rocketed this high.

That same year Australians were also dancing to Psy’s ‘Gangnam style’ and listening to Carly Rae Jespen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’.

2012 was also a big year for sport after Team Australia earned 35 medals at the London Olympics, Sydney Swans were crowned the champions in the AFL grand final and the Melbourne Storm took home the title in the NRL grand final.

It was the year Kim Kardashian and Kanye West started dating, while Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes called it quits and Prince William and Kate Middleton announced they were expecting their first child.

At the box-office, The Avengers finally assembled on-screen and set a super record, becoming the highest grossing film of the year.

Back on home soil, Oz Lotto was also breaking records, climbing to an all-time high of $100 million. This was the last time the game offered a jackpot above $70 million.

Four division one winning entries across four states shared that record-breaking jackpot back in 2012, each taking home over $27,900,000.

Imagine how a prize like that could set you up for the next seven years and beyond!

With up to one-in-four Australian adults expected to have an entry into the $80 million Oz Lotto draw, it is expected to be busy in outlets and online.

With so many people getting their hands on an entry, will we be calling you maybe?
