A family man in his 30s from Wendouree has revealed he is still pinching himself after this morning discovering he is over $574,000 richer from winning division one in the weekends TattsLotto draw.

The Ballarat resident held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3917, drawn Saturday 2 February 2019. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $574,474.92.

Sharing his excitement with us this morning, the man recounted how he came to discover the life-changing news.

“I got an email to say I had won a large prize but I thought it was just a few hundred dollars,” he explained.

“I was joking with my friends saying ‘maybe I’ve won the big one’.

“I went into the outlet to check my ticket and they confirmed that I had won. It was quite a shock to realise I had won the big one!

“I called my wife to let her know we’d won and she didn’t believe me. She thought I was pulling her leg.

“I don’t blame her because I’m still pinching myself too!”

The doting dad revealed that taking care of his beloved family was at the top of his Lotto List.

“We’ve got a young family and in the last few months we’ve been wracking our brains to think about how we were going to be able to get a bigger house for our kids,” he revealed.

“We kept thinking ‘how are we going to do this?’ so this win is going to go a long way to help with us.

“Especially because it will help us set our kids up in the future as well.

“We kept thinking ‘how are we going to do this, that, and everything else?’. This is going to be a massive, massive relief!”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 18 game QuickPick entry at Wendouree Newsagency, 1215A Howitt Street, Wendouree.

Wendouree Newsagency manager Christine Jones said everyone at the store is very excited for their winner.

“It’s the first division one winning entry we’ve sold since we went under new management three months ago,” she explained.

“We were so happy to be able to break the news to the customer. We are so happy for him and his family!

“We wish them all the best!”
