Merbein grandmother’s favourite numbers deliver $1.3 million TattsLotto windfall
Decades of consistency have paid off for a Merbein grandmother who won division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The woman’s entry was one of the three division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3897, drawn on Saturday November 24 2018, so the excited grandmother will be taking home a division one prize of $1,364,143.36.
Sharing her joy with us this morning, the woman revealed she had been playing TattsLotto for decades and was delighted to discover she’d created a winning combination.
“I’ve been using the same special numbers since the TattsLotto first started in Victoria,” she laughed.
“I do use some dates that are special to me, birthdays and anniversaries.”
Our over-the-moon winner said she can’t wait to share her prize with her family and get some chores done around the house.
“I’m looking forward to helping out my children, and plenty of grandchildren and spoiling them this Christmas.
“I’ve got renovations to do around the home so it’s very welcome.”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Merbein Tatts & News Café, 62-64 Commercial Street, Merbein.
Merbein Tatts & News Café owner Gavin Sedgmen said his outlet was celebrating in store today.
“It’s absolutely incredible to see this kind of prize go to a local,” he said.
“We never get sick of selling division one winning tickets.”
