Two best friends from Sale have begun celebrating after discovering they held a division one winning entry in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The long-running private syndicate held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3943 on Saturday 4 May 2019.

Each division one winning entry takes home a division one prize of $573,863.51. In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s marked System 8 entry also won division three 12 times and division four 15 times, bolstering its total win to $586,529.81.

When we made contact with the syndicate leader this morning, she couldn’t contain her excitement over the win.

“It was a great surprise!” she exclaimed.

“Every Sunday I go through the numbers and check the ticket. When I sat at the table and checked the numbers, I couldn’t believe it. I froze! I thought it was some kind of joke.

“I had to get someone to check. I said ‘tell me I’m not imagining them’.

“It’s just wonderful!”

The Sale resident explained the syndicate had been running for more than three decades and used special numbers, such as birthdates, on its entries.

“When I rang my friend to tell them, they just didn’t believe me,” she laughed.

When asked how she might use her share of the TattsLotto win, the syndicate leader said her prize would be handy for some long-planned home renovations.

“It’s just surreal,” she said.

The syndicate purchased its winning marked System 8 entry at Raymond Street Lotto, 211 Raymond Street, Sale.

Raymond Street Lotto manager Ange Harry said she was blown away by the news the outlet had sold another division one winning entry.

“Oh wow!” she exclaimed.

“I’m so chuffed about it. It’s great to see another win. It will be the talk of the town.

“We wish our winners all the very best with their prize!”
