Brisbane City Hall erupted into a sea of colour last Friday night as the switch was flicked on the iconic Gold Lotto City Hall Lights show.

It’s the sixth year Gold Lotto has sponsored the prominent Christmas event with Lotteries & Keno Managing Director Sue van der Merwe on hand to help kick off the lights spectacular.

The much-loved annual light projection features a locally-produced story by local author Melanie Hill, brought to life in vibrant animation.

This year, the tale features an international twist as our hero Maddi travels from Brisbane all the way across the globe to meet Santa Claus.

In the chill of the North Pole, she realises she loves Brisbane’s warm Christmas season when everyone celebrates together and makes the most of our enviable outdoor lifestyle.

The Gold Lotto City Hall Lights is one of the key events out of the many free Christmas events across the City, South Bank and Roma Street Parkland.

Families and visitors to Brisbane can catch the amazing light show every 15 minutes from 7:30pm to midnight each night until Christmas Eve.

The Lott’s national charity partner, Starlight Children’s Foundation are also selling Starlight wands and raising funds during the Gold Lotto City Hall Lights to help brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families this Christmas.
