One of Australia’s favourite lottery games- Oz Lotto got an upgrade.
BIGGER PRIZES, MORE WINNERS and more reasons to play every week!

Oz Lotto had some exciting enhancements in May 2022! When we spoke to our customers about playing Oz Lotto, they told us they would love to see “bigger prizes, more winners, and more reasons to play every week!”. The game updates were based on a review of the Oz Lotto game by the Australian lottery operators, including Golden Casket, NSW Lotteries, Tatts, Tatts NT, SA Lotteries and Lotterywest.

A bigger starting offer

The starting offer for Oz Lotto has increased from $2M to $3M, so you have the chance to win a bigger prize with the Division 1 prize starting offer increasing.

Bigger prizes and more frequent jackpots

Bigger prizes means more big fun. We increased prizes across Divisions 2 to 7 by an average of up to 8%. The new game structure also improves the chance of the game delivering large jackpot offers more frequently.

More Winners

The odds of winning any prize have improved from 1 in 55 to 1 in 51 so you can look forward to the potential of more winners in every draw.

Game Play

To support the Oz Lotto game changes, there was a change to the number of balls drawn during each Oz Lotto draw. Following the game changes, there is now 7 Winning Numbers drawn from a barrel of 47 balls, instead of 45 balls.

An additional Supplementary Number is also drawn, increasing the number of supplementaries from 2 to 3. This creates more winning combinations and improves the chance of winning any prize.

Prize Boost Events

Keep an eye out for Prize Boost events where if you win, you could win big! The Prize Boost will apply to Divisions 2 to 7 (excludes Division 1) and will happen regardless of whether Division 1 is won or not and will increase the prize amount you’d win in a normal draw. Visist our Prize Boost page for more details and when they are announced!
