Clovers, chooks, and Cheshire cats — our latest lottery winners have described just how surreal a lottery win can feel! But once the disbelief settles, nothing’s as magical as that winning feeling.

Check out some of our favourite wins of the week:

Box Hill couple’s morning transformed with $1.6 million win

There were six division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto’s $10 Million Special event last weekend, each pocketing $1.6 million in prize money. One winning entry was held by a Box Hill couple who confessed they wanted to make sure their prize was real before they got too excited.

“It’s so surreal. We didn’t believe it,” the winning husband said.

“We’ve talked about things we could do with the prize, but we wanted to make sure it was real first.

“I’m not one to count my chickens!”
Orange winner in Wonderland after $200,000 Lucky Lotteries prize

Another thrilled winner was in disbelief this week when he learned of his $200,000 Lucky Lotteries win. However, this was no poultry prize. In fact, the news sent him straight down the rabbit hole to Wonderland.

“The most I’ve won is a chook at the pub, so this is awesome!” the winning man said.

“I’ve got my wife here, and she’s grinning like a Cheshire cat!

“It’s worked out perfectly, actually. We’ve been doing some renovations, and this is going to cover the lot.”

Peakhurst man tees up $1 million win

Unlike our winner from Orange, a Peakhurst man was having a not-so-magical day on the golf course. That is until we called with the news of his $1 million Monday & Wednesday Lotto win.

“You’re joking! I was not expecting this!” he said.

“I’m glad you didn’t tell me while I was on the golf course. I was already having a bad game, and I know I wouldn’t have been able to concentrate after this news.

“I use the same numbers every time. I didn’t choose them for any particular reason, but they’re certainly my lucky numbers now.”

Craigieburn man claims $4 million Powerball prize

On or off the green, turns out a winning surprise can sprout from anywhere. That was certainly the case for our mystery Powerball winner who finally came forward to claim his $4 million Powerball prize, won in draw 1434 on 9 November.

“I noticed my avocado plant had sprouted some clover leaves,” he explained.

“I bent over to have a look and I found a four-leaf clover, and I’ve only ever found three in my entire life. This was the biggest four-leaf clover I had ever found!

“I decided to put the four-leaf clover on my Powerball ticket and let it do its thing.

“Some might not believe me, but I really think it was because of the four-leaf clover, and it was truly meant to be.”

Don’t forget, Powerball is now at $20 million for draw 1436 on 23 November 2023. Perhaps some good fortune is in your future. Good luck!
