A Bongaree man has confessed the future of his children is his top priority after discovering he’d won more than $2.8 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Bribie Island man held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4451 on Saturday 16 March 2024. Each division one winning entry scored $2,857,142.86.

“Woah, woah! This is absolutely amazing!” the winning man said when we called to confirm his windfall.

“I’ve been using these numbers for almost three decades. They’re just so special to me for so many reasons.

“I’m also sure someone must be watching over me from above.

“I’ll be straight into the renovations at my home! Thankfully, I’ll be able to pay someone to do them now, and I won’t have to.

“First phone call is to my children. They’ll be stoked to know some of it is coming their way and they can set themselves up for the future.

“Thank you so much!”

The winning man’s marked System 7 entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
