A Burleigh Waters man was utterly gobsmacked to discover his special lottery numbers had delivered him a life-enhancing $690,000 prize in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw. 
 
The Gold Coast resident held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4495, drawn Saturday 17 August 2024 and looks forward to a total prize of $697,041.32.
 
The winning man’s Monday blues were completely crushed when he received an unexpected phone call from us about his bountiful prize.
 
“Oh, thank you very much! I had no idea,” he gasped.
 
“That’s a complete surprise. I’m gobsmacked, shocked even.
 
“I’ve been playing for many, many years – always the same numbers.

“I chose them because they were coming up quite a bit in other draws, and I thought one day they might come up for me.

“I’m really shocked. I’ll have to have a deep think about this.
 
“Honestly, I’m not too sure what I’ll do with the prize just yet. It will be a great help though.
