A Marian man is looking forward to weekends out at sea aboard his brand-new boat after he hooked more than $1.2 million in last weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The gleeful man was away on holidays when he checked The Lott app to discover his newly minted millionaire status, but confessed at first he thought his app might be “glitching”.

“It’s crazy! It still hasn’t sunk in,” the winning man chuckled when we confirmed his newfound treasure.

“I thought it was fake at first! I logged into The Lott app and couldn’t tell if it was glitching when it said I’d won over one million dollars.

“I couldn’t stop shaking. I nearly dropped my phone a few times.

“I never thought something this magical would ever happen to me!

“It’s been a long week just thinking of all the things I could do with the money.”

With $1.2 million set to boost his bank account, the down to earth man shared he was eyeing a new boat and was looking forward to cruising comfortably into the future.

“Some of it will go towards my mortgage and paying off any outstanding bills,” he shared.

“I’ve already started shopping for a brand-new boat too.

“I’m looking forward to many weekends out at sea.

“It will be an amazing feeling once I know everything is paid off, and I can cruise.

“Above all else, I’m feeling super grateful!”

His winning entry was purchased at TSG Marian, Shop 6, 247 Anzac Parade, Marian.

TSG Marian manager Julie Hay shared she was over the moon that a local customer had won division one.

“We’ve all been beaming with excitement ever since we found out – there’s been lots of excited laughter,” she said.

“This is our very first division one winner ever, making this experience even more exciting.

“We send our winner a big congratulations and hope they enjoy all their prize has to offer.”
