Fig Tree Pocket couple’s 30-year tradition delivers dreamy $518,000 Gold Lotto win
A Fig Tree Pocket couple has relived the joyous moment they sprung off the couch and discovered their Saturday Gold Lotto win worth $518,000.
The Brisbane locals held one of the 10 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4507, drawn Saturday 28 September, and look forward to a total prize of $518,373.93.
When we called to confirm the win, the gleeful duo were still reeling with excitement and said they were stunned by the magnitude of the win.
“I’m feeling very good today!” the winning man chuckled.
“I’m still a bit stunned by it all.
“My wife and I have been putting the same Saturday Gold Lotto numbers on for the past 30 years.
“We were having a quiet Saturday night when we thought we’d check our tickets.
“When I clicked on one of our tickets, my phone screen filled with confetti.
“When the confetti settled and we saw how much we’d won, we were both dumbfounded.
“I started to feel sweaty, and my wife said she needed to take a seat.
“We’re both still coming to terms with the win.
“The prize will help speed up our retirement and allow us to help our children.
“I’m still thanking my darling wife for buying the winning ticket.
“Thank you for the incredible call!”
