A Kerang couple couldn’t believe their eyes when they checked their online account to see they’d won more than $1 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw, admitting they haven’t stopped pinching themselves since.

The northern Victorian locals held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4491 on Saturday 3 August 2024 and look forward to a total prize of $1,044,305.42.

The dynamic duo took a little longer to discover their newly minted millionaire status after missing multiple calls from us earlier in the week.

“That’s fantastic!” the winning husband cheered.

“We’ve been pinching ourselves all week in disbelief.

“We first checked the draw results on Monday and saw that five people had won division one. We didn’t think much of it at the time.

“We joked with each other when we initially saw that we had missed calls from The Lott. We laughed and said, ‘Maybe we’ve won the big one!’. Not believing for a second that we actually had.

“Your call prompted me to check our online account with The Lott and when I logged in and saw the confetti, I immediately started to shake.

“I couldn’t believe my eyes!

“Hearing you confirm the win calls for instant celebrations.

“Is it too early to raise a glass of champagne?”

With $1 million heading their way, the victorious Victorians were cautious not to make any immediate decisions, however relished in the idea of booking an overseas odyssey.

“It’s going to take a while to sink in,” he laughed.

“We have friends travelling around the world at the moment so we may go and join them.”

The couple’s winning marked 15-game entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
