The search is over for Springfield’s mystery multi-millionaire after a local woman finally checked her Saturday Gold Lotto ticket and uncovered her life-enhancing $2.14 million win.

The City of Ipswich resident held one of the 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto, draw 4535, drawn Saturday 4 January 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $2,142,857.15.

If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have been alerted to their newfound treasure immediately after the draw.

“Oh wow! I’m in a lot of shock,” she laughed.

“I discovered the win only yesterday. I didn’t think it was real.

“I told my partner yesterday, but we didn’t want to celebrate too soon in case it wasn’t real.

“I only buy a lottery ticket around Christmas; literally once a year!

“It’s crazy to think I’ve won $2 million.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her new multi-millionaire status, the Queenslander revealed she’d use most of her winnings to pay off bills but would set some fun money aside.

“It’s a little boring, but we’ll do some adult things like pay off the bills,” she shared.

“I’m sure we’ll go on a holiday with some of it.”

The division one winning entry was purchased at Nextra Orion, Shop 29, Orion Springfield, 1 Main Street, Springfield.

Nextra Orion owner Vivek Ganesh said selling a division one winning entry was an incredible way to start 2025.

“It’s such great news. It truly is a Happy New Year!” he said.

“We’re very excited for the winner and wish them all the best. We’ve been waiting for them to discover their win and come forward.

“Amazingly, in 2023, we also sold a division one winning entry in the end-of-year Megadraw.

“We’ll be letting all our customers know the amazing news via social media and in-store.”
