A Dapto woman has come forward to claim her $400,000 Saturday Lotto win more than a week after the draw, revealing she received the winning ticket as a birthday gift.
  
The New South Wales resident held one of the 13 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4509, drawn Saturday 5 October 2024. Each division one winning entry scored $401,209.07.
 
“I’m very excited!” she cheered when we confirmed her division one win.
 
“It’s the biggest blessing we could have ever received, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
 
“I got the ticket as a birthday gift from my brother. He gave me a little lottery bundle and the winning ticket was in it!
 
“I’ll definitely be getting him something as a thank you. It’s the best birthday gift ever!
 
“It’s funny because my husband and I play each week using the same marked numbers each time but this one that my brother got me was just a random QuickPick.
 
“We usually win something like $10 to $40. Once we won $400, but that seems like nothing compared to this!
 
“We’re so grateful. It helps out so much in these times.
 
“Thank you so much. We’re in the midst of some major life changes, so this was just a blessing.”
