Taylors Beach man stuck in a dream after discovering $890,000 Saturday Lotto win
A Taylors Beach man has found himself plunged into a surreal state of dreamy disbelief after scoring more than $890,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The New South Wales resident held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4517, drawn Saturday 2 November 2024. Each division one entry took home $894,879.56.
While the winner took three days to discover their good fortune, if they had registered their entry to a player card or online account, they would have been united with their prize earlier.
Instead, we had been eagerly waiting for the mystery ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
“It’s a dream come true!” he exclaimed.
“I can’t explain how it feels, it’s seriously like I’m still living in a dream.
“We’re very grateful, we buy one or two tickets each week but this one came through!
“We’re definitely going to buy our first home. That’s the plan! Wow, I never thought I’d be able to say that.
“It’s going to help me and my family so much. You have no idea!
“My wife and I are just about to enjoy a nice meal and wine to celebrate.
“Thank you so much!”
The man’s winning entry was purchased at newsXpress Salamander Bay, Shop 76, Salamander Centre, Salamander Way, Salamander Bay.
newsXpress Salamander Bay team member Rachel Cordingley said the team was thrilled to see a regular customer take home a division one prize.
“It’s so exciting! I may be just as excited as the winner!” she laughed.
“I sold the ticket which made me even more jubilant. It was to a local gentleman who shops here all the time. The team and I couldn’t be happier for him.
“Our outlet last sold a division one winning entry in July, also in Saturday Lotto. Hopefully, our winning streak continues.
“Congratulations to our lucky local and we wish you all the best with your prize.”
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4517 on 2 November 2024 were 18, 6, 42, 10, 1 and 3, while the supplementary numbers were 5 and 40.
