A Cooktown woman has been left in shock and tears after learning the Instant Scratch-Its ticket she initially won her $50,000 was actually worth a staggering $500,000.
 
The Far North Queesnslander’s winning $20 Diamond 7’s Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Holloways Pop-Up Convenience, Shop 3, 149-153 Holloways Beach Access Road, Holloways Beach.
 
When we reached out and confirmed her win, the winning woman was beaming with joy; sharing the half-a-million-dollar prize would be “life-changing”.
 
“This is a massive surprise!” she cried.
 
“Did you just say $500,000?! Oh my god!
 
“Are you kidding?! Holly hell!
 
“I thought I’d won $50,000 and that was crazy.
 
“Half a million dollars is going to be life-changing. I can’t hold back the tears.
