A Summerhill couple who often buy each other an Instant Scratch-Its ticket each as a ritual have confessed they’re still in a state of shock after scratching their way to a $100,000 windfall.

The $5 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Prospect Market Place News, Shop 7, 350 Westbury Road, Prospect.

“Oh my god! My wife scratched the ticket, and our eyes suddenly became the size of dinner plates, we were so excited!” the happy husband said when we called to confirm their prize.

“We usually buy Instant Scratch-Its tickets once a week and get one for each of us.

“It’s a fun little ritual, but we never thought we’d ever win something like this!

“In all honesty, we’ve been jumping for joy ever since. What an incredible feeling!

“We’ll be smart with the prize though.

“A holiday will be nice;we’ll invest a fair chunk and try and prepare for the future.

“The best thing is that we’re going to be able to help family and friends. It’s tough at the moment so it will be great to share the love.

“Thank you so much. This is life changing.”
