A Glenorchy woman couldn’t believe her eyes when she scratched a life-enhancing $100,000 top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket, admitting she ran straight to the local newsagency to confirm.

The $5 Wild West Quest ticket was purchased at Glenorchy Central Newsagency, Shop 10, Glenorchy Central Shopping Centre, Eady Street, Glenorchy.

Speaking with us this morning, the winning woman shared she was still blown away by the fact she’d scored an Instant Scratch-Its top prize.

“It’s pretty hard to believe,” she chuckled.

“I checked it a few times to make sure I’d actually scored the top prize.

“I took it back to the local newsagency as soon as I could. I said to the lady at the newsagency, ‘Can you please check it for me?’. I wasn’t too certain!

“That’s when she confirmed the news for me. It’s pretty great!

“It’s definitely the most I’ve ever won in my lifetime.

“I often buy scratchies as a little treat.”

With $100,000 about to boost her bank account and the start to her financial year, the Tasmanian resident revealed the win would help pay off her car.

“I just bought a new car, so I’ll be able to pay that off,” she shared.

“It’s so surreal. I won’t be able to believe it until the money is in the bank!”

The Glenorchy Central Newsagency team was feeling ecstatic to have sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket to a local customer and wished them all the best with their prize.
