Despite not being a coffee drinker, a Kensington woman has admitted that she might need a caffeine hit today after a restless night following her $100,000 Instant Scratch-Its discovery.

The Sydneysider’s winning $5 Cash Vault ticket was purchased at Kensington Newsagency, Shop 154, 148-158 Anzac Parade, Kensington.

When we reached out to confirm her prize, the cheery woman shared she was still in disbelief and stunned by her win.

“I still can’t wrap my head around it!” she said.

“I’ve always enjoyed playing an Instant Scratch-Its ticket from time to time.

“When I bought the winning ticket the other day, I believe it must’ve been fate.

“It’s not a ticket I usually go for but I’m so happy that I got it – it was meant to be.

“Once I scratched the ticket and realised I’d won a big prize, I couldn’t sleep.

“I was up all night re-checking the ticket to make sure I wasn’t going crazy.

“I can’t remember the last time I had a coffee, but I think I’ll need one to get through the day.

“It’s been such a lovely surprise.

“I’m going to pay off some bills and then look to book a holiday.”

Kensington Newsagency owner Daniel Shen shared he was thrilled to hear his outlet had sold a top prize-winning ticket worth $100,000.

“We’re so happy to hear one of our customer's lives has been changed by a ticket we sold,” he said.

“Since owning the outlet, this is the first top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket we’ve sold.

“It’s an amazing milestone we’ll be sure to celebrate in-store, both with our team and customers.

“Congratulations to our winner and we wish you all the best.”
