A Foster man has admitted he remained surprisingly calm and collected when discovering his $100,000 top prize win on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket earlier this week.  

His winning $5 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Pulhams Furniture & Carpet, 13 Main Street, Foster. 

“It’s a nice little bonus!” he exclaimed. 

“I was very calm when I discovered the win and even the team member at the local store said the same thing. 

“He said to me, ‘You’re too calm and collected!”. 

“I knew I had won something, but I wasn’t exactly sure how much I’d won until I had visited The Lott head office for confirmation. 

“I’ve never won anything in my life. It’s a nice feeling!” 

When asked how he planned to enjoy his instant prize of $100,000, the Victorian retiree revealed he would save it for a rainy day. 

“I’m known to be quite generous. I’m a giver, not a taker and my daughter has been on my back to save the prize, so I think I’ll take her advice!” he laughed. 

“I’ll put it in the bank account, and it will be a nice boost to my retirement.”
