Every step will soon remind a Booval man of his $100,000 Instant Scratch-Its prize as he fast-tracks plans to fix his front stairs and complete other home renovations.

“I was amazed!” the winning man exclaimed.

“Especially considering I first thought I had only matched nine words on the ticket and won $10,000. But then I was stewing over the ticket and double-checking it. That’s when I came across another word and realised I’d won $100,000!

“I thought, ‘I’ve got 10 words!’. I was thinking, ‘Oh wow! Do I scream or what?’.

“I’m a regular Instant Scratch-Its player and while I usually win a little prize here and there, this is certainly the biggest prize I’ve ever won.

“I also got pretty excited when I claimed my prize and they gave me a giant novelty cheque! I’m going to frame this to tell you the truth! This doesn’t happen every day!

“This prize is going to come in handy.

“I want to go on a trip first. I have no plans, but just a trip anywhere.

“But my main goal is to fix the front stairs – they’re falling apart! There’s also the gutters and bathroom to renovate.”
