A Mount Low man has unwrapped one of the greatest gifts of all for his birthday – an Instant Scratch-Its ticket that bagged him a $10,000 top prize, given to him by his brother.

The top prize-winning ToolBox Bucks $1 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Chatswood Hills News & Casket Agency, Shop 106, Chatswood Hills Shopping Centre, Magellan Road, Springwood.

“It’s still surreal to me!” the winning man said when we called to confirm his prize.

“I was second-guessing myself.

“I looked at the ticket five or six times to make sure it was correct!

“I got the ticket from my brother. He sent me 50 $1 Instant Scratch-Its tickets for my birthday.

“It’s not a bad birthday gift!

“I think he wished he had kept it.

“Thank you very much.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his new-found treasure, the cheery man revealed it would go towards his home loan.

Chatswood Hills News & Casket Agency owner Kusum Dahiya said she and the team were ecstatic for the victorious man and wished him all the best for the future.

“Wow! What fantastic news. We are over the moon for the winning man and hope the prize allows him to treat himself!” she said.

“We last sold an Instant Scratch-Its top prize-winning ticket in 2020 and we are always hoping when a customer visits that they pick up another one.

“It seems there have been multiple wins in Logan recently. How wonderful that we can add to the list.”
