A Cessnock man has confessed he initially thought his $100,000 lottery win was too good to be true, until he received the life-enhancing call confirming his prize.

The Hunter Valley local held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10918, drawn Tuesday 21 January 2025, and looks forward to a total prize of $100,000.

The winning man had checked his online account moments before we reached out to confirm his prize, leaving him stunned and in absolute disbelief.

“Wow! I’d just checked my account before you called,” he said.

“I thought my phone must’ve been glitching or something when it said I’d won $100,000!

“It seemed too good to be true.

“I’m so stoked.

“Every now and then I’ll play a few different games.

“I’ve had one of the most stressful weeks, and I’ve been pushing myself so hard—this is just the best news.

“My brain is all fluff right now.”

With $100,000 soon to boost his bank account, the winning man shared he’d look to book an overseas holiday and buy a new set of wheels.

“Oh, I’ll definitely look to book a getaway at some point,” he said.

“It’s a bit hard to think clearly right now.

“I’d also love to buy a new car.”

His winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
