After a tough couple of years, a Cessnock woman has revealed she plans to spoil her family with an extravagant feast after she pocketed more than $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.

The Hunter Valley local held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10865, drawn Monday 5 August 2024. She also snagged a consolation prize boosting her total treasure to $102,000.

The winning woman took a little longer to discover the life-enhancing news as her contact details  were not up to date.

“I don’t know what to say!” the winning woman exclaimed when we revealed her prize.

“Wow! This is the loveliest surprise after a tough couple of years.

“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries occasionally for some time now. I enjoy buying a handful of tickets here and there.

“I’ve always thought it would feel amazing to win something! I always told myself that I’d share half of whatever I win with my children.

“I’m also due for a new car and a coffee machine so this is great timing.

“I can’t wait to get the family all together and celebrate this news over a feast!

“This is so special, thank you!”

The woman’s winning entry of five consecutive numbers was purchased at Cessnock Plaza News & Gifts, Shop 16-17 Cessnock Plaza, 1 Keene Street, Cessnock.

Cessnock Plaza News & Gifts manager Brett King shared the news they’d sold a 1st Prize winning entry was nothing short of exciting.

“We’re all so excited to hear that our outlet played a role in this win,” he said.

“We’ve sold a few 1st Prize winning entries in our time and we couldn’t be prouder to add this one to our tally.

“As soon as I found out the news, I decorated the outlet head to toe, including colourful bunting, balloons and posters.

“We wish our winner all the best with their prize and hope they enjoy life to the fullest.”
