No joke! Seaforth man baffled by $100,000 Lucky Lotteries loot thinking someone was pulling his leg
A Seaforth man initially thought he was being pranked when officials from The Lott contacted him to confirm he’d won $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.
The Mackay resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10860 drawn Thursday 11 July 2024.
“Is this a prank? he laughed.
“I’m a bit subdued to answer numbers that I don’t know in this day and age.
“The Lott app is lighting up with confetti. Wow!
“That’s unreal! That’s bloody beautiful news.
“I enjoy playing regularly, but to be honest I don’t check my tickets all that often. If you hadn’t called, I would’ve been walking around clueless for days.
“This is the most substantial amount I’ve ever won.
“I’m very happy I decided to pick up the phone.”
When asked how he planned to use his prize, the North Queenslander had a few ideas in mind, including a family holiday and supporting his loved ones.
"This will go down a treat as we have a family holiday coming up very soon,” he shared.
“I think this calls for a holiday upgrade, something special that we’ll remember forever.
“I would also love to help some family in need.”
The man’s entry of one random number was purchased on via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
