A Burwood East man was so stunned to discover he’d won more than $126,000 in the weekend's Super 66 draw that he admittedly threw his phone in excitement.
 
The young man held the only division one winning entry nationally in Super 66 draw 4525, drawn Saturday 30 November 2024. He looks forward to a total prize of $126,474.90.
 
“That’s crazy!” he exclaimed.
 
“I was with my housemate on Saturday night around 10.30pm and we were sitting in the living room when I decided to check my ticket.

“I saw the division one win and that’s when I threw my phone and started getting all excited. My housemate said, ‘What’s going on? What’s going on?’.

“I told him about the win, and he thought I was talking s***. He just kept saying, ‘Get stuffed! You’re joking around with me!’. 

“I even had a moment yesterday where I thought maybe my win wasn’t real because all of these thoughts started to go through my head!
 
“I’m really glad to hear it’s confirmed now.
 
“Thank you so much.”
 
When asked how he planned to enjoy his $126,000 win, the Victorian said he would invest most of the prize but would still treat himself to a new car.
 
“I’ll put most of the win away. I want to make use of it,” he revealed.

“I have wanted to buy a new car. I’ve saved up most of the money to buy the car I want but I still needed a bit more. Now this prize will allow me to buy it sooner than I thought!”
 
His winning 25-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
