Reservoir dad dines out on Super 66 windfall
A Reservoir dad has begun celebrating being more than $230,000 richer after winning division one in the weekend’s Super 66 draw.
The Victorian man held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Super 66 draw 3859 on 14 July 2018. He takes home the Super 66 jackpot of $234,847.85.
Speaking to a Tatts official this morning, the man explained how he discovered his Super 66 win yesterday.
“Yes! Wow! Thank you so much,” he said.
“I checked online yesterday and I couldn’t believe it. It was very exciting.
“I got my daughter to check it for me. She didn’t believe me.”
“We didn’t believe him, but I checked and double checked and oh my god, it was good news,” his daughter added.
The man shared he had already begun celebrating his good fortune.
“We went out to dinner last night to celebrate,” he said.
“This money will help pay off the mortgage and help us live debt free!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 5-game QuickPick at Footscray Lottery Centre, Shop 89, Footscray Market, 81 Hopkins Street, Footscray.
Footscray Lottery Centre staff member Tieu Tancy said she was thrilled the outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
“It’s great for our lucky customer – we’re so happy for them,” she said.
“We’ve been sharing the news with everyone coming in this morning.”
The six winning numbers in Super 66 draw 3859 on Saturday 14 July 2018 were 3, 1, 9, 1, 7 and 7.
Across Australia there was only one division one winning entry in Super 66 draw 3859.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 214 so far this calendar year, including 91 won by Tatts customers.
Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $341.27 million.
