A Malvern man has admitted it might be hard to top this year’s festive season after discovering on Christmas Eve he’d won more than $1.3 million in last weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Melburnian held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4531 on Saturday 21 December 2024. Each division one winning entry won $1,350,452.62.

“It’s unbelievable!” the happy man cried.

“It was Christmas Eve when I checked my ticket and I couldn’t believe it.

“I told my immediate family on Christmas Day and asked them to check the numbers to make sure I wasn’t dreaming!

“I reckon it’s one of the better Christmas gifts I’ve had over the years.

“I wanted to make sure it was real before starting to think about how best to use it. It certainly gives me and my family more options in 2025!

“Funnily enough, I’ve been playing TattsLotto for many, many years. But I changed the numbers I was using recently.

“I was getting three numbers a lot, so I thought I’d better change these.  So I did. I just plucked some numbers out of my mind. There was no real reason, they were just out of my head and that’s what happens!”

The man’s winning entry was purchased at Malvern Village News & Lotto, Suite 1, 1356 Malvern Road, Malvern.

Malvern Village News & Lotto owner Louis Chow said he was thrilled one of their customers had such a great Christmas present this year.

“It’s been a few years since our last division one win, so we are extremely happy to add another to our collection,” he said.

“We wish our winning customer all the best and look forward to the next big win.”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4531 on 21 December 2024 were 44, 27, 38, 18, 9 and 25, while the supplementary numbers were 23 and 7.
