The first emotion that swept over a Latrobe woman upon discovering her $400,000 TattsLotto win was a feeling of 'sickness', revealing that a major lottery win can come with some side effects.

The Tasmanian held one of the 13 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4509, drawn Saturday, 5 October 2024 and looks forward to a total prize of $401,209.07.

The winning entry was unregistered which means we had no way of contacting the ticketholder and had to wait for her to check her ticket and come forward.

“Thank you so much,” she laughed.

“I discovered it the night of the draw, but I’ve used a few days to ponder.

“At first, I just felt sick. I couldn’t comprehend what had happened.

“I’ve been playing for years and years. I just decided to use these numbers once upon a time.

“I’ll have to save these lucky numbers now!

“In all honesty, I have no idea what I’ll do with the prize. I’ll have to sit on it and think about it.”

Her winning entry was purchased at Latrobe Newsagency, 90 Gilbert Street, Latrobe.

Latrobe Newsagency manager Jags Kumar said he was stoked to hear his team had sold a division one winning entry to a local couple.

“It’s such great news! We’re really happy to have sold a major winning entry to a local husband and wife,” he said.

“This is our first time selling a division one winning entry since taking over ownership of the outlet about two and a half years ago.

“We’ve been telling all of our customers about the exciting news and making it clear that one of our amazing staff members sold that division one winning entry.

“Congratulations to the winning couple and we wish them all the very best. Thank you for always supporting Latrobe Newsagency. We can’t wait to hopefully hear the amazing things you will do with your prize.”
