A Belmont father and daughter have shared a heart-warming moment after their 20-year-old TattsLotto tradition delivered them a prize of more than $660,000 in the weekend’s draw – a timely blessing as the daughter faces a battle with stage four cancer.

The victorious Victorians held one of the eight division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4503, drawn Saturday 14 September 2024. Each entry pocketed $660,110.33.

“We can’t believe it,” the winning daughter cried.

“I’ve had some really hard times, but this is going to make life so much easier.

“I’ve recently been diagnosed with stage four cancer, so not only will this help with treatments, but it will just allow me to enjoy life more.”

The winning father revealed they checked their ticket Sunday morning and had been reeling with excitement ever since.

“We’ve been waiting eagerly for your call! It’s wonderful to have it confirmed,” he added.

“First thing I do every Sunday morning is check the weekend winning numbers in the paper.

“I saw we had three numbers, then we had four and then there was a fifth and then a sixth! I almost had a heart attack.

“I was getting excited to even have three numbers.

“We’ve been playing for 20 years so it’s truly a dream come true.

“We’ll share with other family members, and I’m recently retired so I’ll be able to live a much more comfortable life.

“Thank you so much!”

The winning System 8 entry was purchased at Belmont Lucky Lotto, Shop 1, 168 High Street, Belmont, 3216.

Belmont Lucky Lotto owner Bryan Leat said it was fantastic news for the division one winner and the outlet.

“What lovely news. This is our second division one winning entry in six years, and we couldn’t be happier to have sold a division one winning entry to a local family,” he said.

“We’ve started to decorate the store and share the good news with all of our customers. They’ll be thrilled; the same as us.

“Congratulations to the division one winner and well done!”
