Premonition delivers new wheels to Capalaba man after $129,000 Super 66 win
A Capalaba man says he’s spent the week completely oblivious to the fact he won division one in the weekend’s Super 66 draw.
The Queensland entry was the only division one winning entry across Australia in Super 66 draw 3959, drawn Saturday 29 June 2019. He takes home the entire division one prize pool of $129,633.30.
Confirming his win with us this afternoon, the man revealed he’d been going about his week with no idea of his windfall.
“I went to the newsagency this morning to check my ticket and when it was scanned it was like it froze the machine,” he laughed
“I had no idea I’d won anything!
“When they told me I had won division one in Super 66 I just thought ‘wow’.
“Although I did have a premonition this morning that I’d be able to buy a new car soon and maybe this is what that meant!”
The winner explained he had plenty of plans for his life-changing prize.
“I’ll pay a few bills and I’ll treat myself to a nice new car,” he said. “And the rest I’ll share with my family.
“It’s a life-changing prize for me and will help a lot of people out.”
The winning one-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Mount Cotton Road News, 159 Mt Cotton Road, Capalaba.
Mount Cotton Road News owner Lyle Reilly said the outlet had been on a winning streak.
“What a lucky month June has been for our outlet!” he exclaimed.
“We sold a division two winning entry in Oz Lotto a couple of weeks ago and now we’ve sold division one for Super 66.
“Everyone is so excited for our customer who has scooped this great prize and we hope the luck continues!
“Congratulations to him!”
