A hard working man from Townsville was today surprised to discover he’d become $23,734.90 richer after his Super 66 entry in the weekend’s draw won first division.

The excited winner said he wasn’t aware of his Super 66 win until he received a phone call from a Golden Casket official who confirmed he was holding the winning ticket.

“Holy hell! This is the best phone call I’ve ever had! Thank you, thank you!” the local man exclaimed on hearing the news of his win.

“Luckily I’m sitting down ‘cause this win means a hell of a lot. Winning this money means I can pay a big chunk off my mortgage.

“I’m a regular Super 66 player and I’ve had a few wins but this is certainly the biggest. This is one Townsville show day I’ll never forget!”

The division one winning Super 66 ticket was purchased at Deeragun Village Newsagency and Gifts, 31 Geaney Lane in Deeragun.

John Nuttall is the owner of Deeragun Village Newsagency and Gifts and was thrilled when he discovered his outlet had sold a division one winning ticket in Super 66.

“This is our second first division one win so we are extremely excited,” Mr Nuttall declared.

“We’re a very busy shop and we’re relatively new so we think we’ve got the magic touch when it comes to selling division one winning entries.

“We’d like to congratulate our latest division one winning customer and wish them all the best for their future.

“Now we’ve had our two division one wins, we’re really keen to add to our tally so fingers crossed we have some more very soon!”

It was the only entry that scooped the entire first division prize pool of $23,734.90 in Super 66 draw 3647.

The winning numbers in Super 66 draw 3647 on Saturday 2 July 2016 were 5, 6, 2, 1, 3 and 1.
