A St Clair man is feeling shellshocked after snagging his second major lottery loot, this time a glorious $1.4 million in a recent Lotto Strike draw – proving lottery lightning can strike twice.

The Sydney resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Lotto Strike draw 5536, drawn Monday 4 November 2024 and took home a total prize of $1,487,810.25.

Incredibly the winning man won his $1.4 million prize on a 1-game entry which only cost him $1.15.

While speaking to us days after the draw, the New South Welshman was still reeling with excitement, revealing it wasn’t his first encounter with a lottery loot.

“Thank you! It’s unbelievable!” he said.

“We’ve got a holiday coming up so now we’ll be able to bring the whole family!

“I always check my tickets on a Wednesday. I logged onto the computer, hit Lotto Strike and there were the numbers! I think I must’ve double-checked the win about 100 times.

“I’ve been playing these numbers for that long, probably over 20 years!

“We did have a win, going back a long time ago now. It was one of those second chance draws they used to broadcast at 10:30 pm and we won $50,000.

“We actually have some friends who won division one in a Powerball jackpot a little while ago. We thought that was unbelievable and now look! We’ve managed to win the Lotto too.

“Thank you so much. This will really help when retirement rolls around.”

His winning 1-game marked entry was purchased at Foodworks St Clair, Shop 13-14, 46-52 Melville Road, St Clair.

The Foodworks St Clair team were ecstatic for their winning customer and wished him all the best with his prize.
