Retirement beckons for northern Sydney Lotto Strike winner!
A northern Sydney man and his wife are fast-tracking their retirement plans after the revelation he is now almost $700,000 richer following last night’s Lotto Strike draw.
The regular online player matched all four ball numbers in the exact order they were drawn last night, delivering him a prize of $695,089.60.
The man, who regularly adds on a Lotto Strike game to his Lotto entries for the extra chance to win, was one of two New South Wales in Lotto Strike draw 4372 on Monday 24 July 2017.
The man’s 1-game Lotto Strike entry was an exact match to the winning numbers of 39, 1, 13 and 20.
Speaking to NSW Lotteries official this morning to confirm his prize, the winner confessed he didn’t sleep much night after discovering his good fortune.
“I’m rather excited! I did look at the results about 9pm last night and I’ve not had a win of this magnitude before!” he said.
“The mind was working overtime for a good part of the night!
“It’s nice to have the win confirmed. My wife won’t absolutely believe it until she sees it!”
With the Lotto Strike windfall under their belts, the man and his wife plan to expedite their retirement plans.
“We’ve been working hard for almost five decades and retirement beckons. We want to spend more time with the grandkids and all of those fun things!” he explained.
“It will be great to have a little more financial confidence for the future.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 1-game Lotto Strike entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Lotto Strike draw 4372 on Monday 24 July 2017 were 39, 1, 13 and 20.
Lotto Strike is an add-on game that is played with Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto and can be played for as little as $1.10.
Lotto Strike’s division one prize is won by selecting the first four Lotto numbers in the exact order they are drawn in the Lotto draw.
If you match just one, two or three of the first four Lotto balls, in exactly the same order drawn, you’ll also win a prize. If no one picks all four winning numbers in the draw, the Lotto Strike Jackpot prize pool will jackpot to the next draw.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 224 so far this calendar year, including 61 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
