$717,000 Lotto Strike win in Maitland!
The NSW Blues’ State of Origin victory wasn’t the only big win last night with a Maitland Grandfather scoring a division one prize of $717,996.45 in last night’s Lotto Strike draw!
“I’ve also woken up a winner today!” the excited winner exclaimed.
“I checked my ticket on the internet this morning and couldn’t believe it. I’m very chuffed that I’ve won!”
When asked what he might do with his Lotto Strike windfall, the winner said, ‘I’ll leave that up to my wife, she’s the Minister of Finance. As long as my wife is happy, I’m happy!
“I think my wife might find me a little more attractive now!” he jokingly added.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry from Lorn Newsagency, 20 Belmore Road in Lorn.
Lorn Newsagency owner Bronwyn Bell was over the moon to discover her outlet had sold the division one winning ticket.
“I’ve been doing this for 30 years and it’s still a thrill selling a big prize!” Ms Bell said.
“We’ve sold a few big winning lotto tickets recently and with the Saturday Lotto $22 Million Superdraw coming up on 28 June, let’s hope we can continue our winning streak!”
Lotto Strike is an add-on game that is played with Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto and can be played for as little as $1.10.
Lotto Strike’s division one prize is won by selecting the first four Lotto numbers in drawn order. The division one prize jackpots to the following Lotto draw if there are no division one winners. The winning numbers for Lotto Strike, draw 3887 on Wednesday 19 June 2014, were 12, 28, 45 and 1.
The Lotto Strike division one prize reverts to $100,000 for the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
