Strathfield South man scores a $1.7 million Lotto Strike win
A Strathfield South man has confessed he didn’t know what was going on when he scanned his ticket this morning and discovered he’d scored a division one prize worth over $1.7 million in last night’s Lotto Strike draw.
The happy Sydneysider held the only division one winning entry in Lotto Strike draw 4940, drawn Wednesday 10 March 2021 and takes home the entire division one prize of $1,728,282.30.
Sharing his excitement with us this morning, the winner recounted the moment he discovered his mid-week prize.
“Wow! Thank you very, very much!” he exclaimed.
“I checked my ticket on the app this morning and I couldn’t believe it.
“I don’t know what’s going on! I can’t express how I feel. It’s too much!
“I buy a ticket every week using the same numbers.
“I never thought I’d win this much!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy the prize, the stoked bloke confessed he was too shocked to even think about it.
“I don’t know! It’s such a shock!” he said.
“Maybe I’ll use it towards buying a house. I’ll have to wait until the news sinks in.
“I might even plan a holiday when the borders open again.”
The thrilled player bought his winning marked 7-game entry at Belfield Newsagency, 4 Burwood Road, Belfield.
Belfield Newsagency owner Bill Liu said he was really excited to discover his outlet had sold another Lotto Strike division one prize.
“Wow! That’s awesome! More than $1.7 million is such a great amount!” he exclaimed.
“This is the second Lotto Strike division one winning entry we’ve sold. The last was a few years ago now, but we certainly have a winning streak on this game.
“Congratulations to our winner! We are so happy for them and wish them all the best!
