There were a few tears and plenty of cheers when a Hunter Valley woman answered the phone this morning and discovered she’d bagged a life-changing $231,000 win in last night’s Lotto Strike draw. 

The central New South Wales resident held the only division one winning entry in Lotto Strike draw 5255 on Wednesday 15 March 2023 and pocketed the entire $231,607.55 prize.

“Oh my god! Oh my god! Are you serious? Holy s**t!” the woman yelled when we called and confirmed her win.

“I can’t believe this!

“It was just a random choice of numbers! Normally, I fastidiously choose and check the numbers I put on, but I never won anything when I did that!

“This means so much to me and my family.

“It means I don’t need to look for work anymore, and we can look at travelling!

“Western Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, Hawaii, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia! I want to go everywhere!

“Oh my goodness! I can’t stop the tears! I lost my mum not long ago and today it feels like she’s looking down on me and smiling.

“Thank you so much. You’ve made my day!”
