An Essendon woman has had a bittersweet reminder of her late dad after landing a life-enhancing $952,000 TattsLotto win in the weekend’s draw using his special numbers.

The Melburnian held one of the 21 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4489, drawn Saturday 27 July 2024 and looks forward to a total division one prize of $952,380.96.

The gleeful woman was completely oblivious to holding all of the winning numbers on her ticket, leading to scepticism when answering a phone call from us.

“Really? No way! No way!” she cheered.

“Is this a joke? A scam?

“I’ve been playing this ticket for years and years, maybe six years. I took over my Dad’s numbers when he passed away and I have been playing them ever since.

“Funnily enough, Dad’s numbers would always come up in the draws. I always have small wins here and there with his numbers.

“We always used to joke that he probably had already won with his numbers but never told us!

“I got a phone call on the weekend, but I thought it was a scam, so I just left it.

“What a way to start the week!

“I’m going to divide and share with my family.

“Thank you so much.”

Her winning marked 12-game entry was purchased at North Essendon Lotto, 7 Leake Street, Essendon.

The North Essendon Lotto team said they were pleased to have helped change the life of one of their customers and wished them all the best with their prize.
