A bleary-eyed Redlands man woke with a shock this morning, answering the phone to discover he’d bagged more than $600,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Queenslander held one of the eight division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4449 on Saturday 9 March 2024. Each division one winning entry scored $620,369.07.

“I can’t believe this!” the winning man gasped when we called him to relay the winning news.

“I’ve had a lot of troubles in my life lately and it’s been difficult to push through.

“This is going to change everything!

“I always hoped you’d call. Every time the phone rang on a Monday morning, I thought, ‘this could be it’.

“This morning, I didn’t even think about it! How amazing is that!

“I’ll be house hunting before you know it mate! It’s long been a goal I wanted to tick and this just makes it possible.

“Thank you so much, I’m over the moon.”

His marked 4-game entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
