Craigieburn man’s toilet break yields TattsLotto division one win

A Craigieburn man is thanking an impromptu trip to the bathroom for his TattsLotto division one win of more than $848,000 in the weekend’s draw.

“I needed to go to the toilet so pulled into the shopping centre. I saw the Tatts shop and thought, ‘why not?’. So, I popped in and bought a ticket," he said.

“I just bought it randomly.

“Then I forgot the ticket was in the car and then this morning I went to grab my wallet and saw the ticket. I had a look and… yeah… it was a winner!

“I’m still coming to terms with it! I haven’t let the ticket out of my sight.

“You know what. I always knew I was going to win the lottery, even though I’m not a regular player. I didn’t know when, I just have always said I was going to win.  And it’s happened!

“We’re paying off the mortgage at the moment. So we’ll pay off that and invest the rest for the future!”

The man’s 50-game QuickPick was purchased at Craigieburn Lucks & Gifts, Shop 4B, Craigieburn Village, 330 Brookfield Boulevard, Craigieburn.

Oakleigh woman retires immediately after TattsLotto win

An Oakleigh woman officially retired from working life on the weekend after discovering her TattsLotto division one win.

“I’m so excited!” she cried when her win was confirmed.

“I had to check and check the ticket. I know it’s true, but I don’t believe it.

“It just doesn’t feel real.

“I’ve never known anyone who’s won division one.

“I was checking my ticket last night. I saw I had the six numbers but I had to wake my husband up to check. I didn’t know what to think!  The whole family has double-checked the ticket since.

“You have no idea what this means. I’ve been thinking about retirement, but the retirement funds in my super wouldn’t have lasted that long.

“This will allow me to pay off a couple of debts and retire.

“I’m walking on cloud nine!”

The woman’s 24-game QuickPick was purchased at Oakleigh Central Lotto, Kiosk 4, Oakleigh Central Shopping Centre, 39 Hanover Street, Oakleigh.
