Do you have old lottery tickets laying around? They could be hidden in your top draw, your car console or even under a magnet on your fridge? 

We’re urging players to check any tickets as there are currently 21 unclaimed division one and major lottery prizes across Australia worth almost $16.14 million. 

There are nine unclaimed prizes in New South Wales, eight in Queensland, two in the ACT and two in Victoria.

These winning tickets were not registered to a player card or an online account, so we have no way of identifying or contacting the mystery winners to unite them with their prize.  

The amount of time you have to claim a prize varies from state to state, but we hope to find all our elusive winners soon!

In Queensland, you have seven years to claim lottery prizes, but in Victoria, you have only six months to claim a prize directly from us – after which you can claim from the Victorian Government.

Currently, the oldest unclaimed division one prize is from a ticket purchased in Maroochydore, Queensland. The entry won a Monday Gold Lotto prize worth $1 million from a draw held December 2016. Imagine finding out you’ve unknowingly been a millionaire for more than six years!

One of the most recent unclaimed division one wins was from last week – a ticket purchased in Port Macquarie, New South Wales won a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize worth $200,000. 

The biggest unclaimed lottery win is a Set for Life prize worth $4.8 million from April 2021 with an entry purchased in Woden in the ACT. 

As you’re cleaning up around the home this tax time and getting ready for the new financial year, keep an eye out for any unchecked lottery tickets. You could be the winner we’re looking for!
