Over $5.2 million was raised last night for My Room Children’s Cancer Charity at the Channel Nine AFL Grand Final Footy Spectacular, the biggest total the Telethon has raised to date which will go towards supporting sick kids and their families in Victoria.

We are so proud to have been a part of the historic night, to celebrate our sixth year of support of My Room, donating $100,000 thanks to the Lott by Tatts.

My Room is a Victorian volunteer-run organisation and has been dedicated to increasing the survival rate of childhood cancer for more than 25 years. They have raised an astonishing amount of more than $27 million for research, clinical care, and family support, all to improve the quality of life for children with cancer.

Their goal never changes, working towards a 100% cure rate for children with cancer, which these critical funds help My Room continue to strive towards.

The Lott’s Partnership Manager Liz McPherson is proud to support the incredible work of such an important organisation.

"It's shocking to realize that cancer is the leading cause of death among children in Australia, but the efforts of My Room in supporting the children's cancer community are crucial. Their work truly reflects the dedication of their mission, volunteers, and generous donors," she said.

"The donation from The Lott by Tatts contributes to ensuring that families and children receive the specialized care they need. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive difference these funds make."

My Room CEO Margaret Zita OAM beamed with pride, giving her thanks to all those who support their organisation.

“Our sixth year of our great partnership between My Room and The Lott has brought hope to kids fighting childhood cancer. The Lott’s strong support and shared values help us work together to truly make a difference for families facing tough times.

“What an incredible total to have raised and with this, it will continue to help us lessen the burden of this journey for families and make the prospect of a cure for all childhood cancers stand even closer than ever before.“
