An amazing update from The Children’s Hospital Foundation: The Nine Telethon raised $14,360,628 — an incredible show of support from the community!

These crucial funds will help give sick kids access to the most advanced clinical programs money can buy and help make every stay in hospital as comfortable as possible.

Did you know The Lott by Golden Casket has been contributing to health initiatives for sick kids for over 100 years?  

In 1920, healthcare for Queensland’s children looked very different. Beds were overcrowded, nurses were overworked, and there was a real crisis for quality public hospital services.  

When things were at a breaking point, the Golden Casket state lottery was a lifeline for getting much-needed funds. 

We’re proud to continue this tradition of giving back to vital health services and infrastructure and since 1992, our formal partnership with The Children’s Hospital Foundation has enabled us to contribute to a variety of important initiatives, including the Children’s Brain Cancer Centre.  

Now, we’re excited to return as a broadcast partner for the Nine Telethon in support of The Children’s Hospital Foundation.  

In its eighth year, money raised from the Telethon helps the Foundation support sick kids by funding life-saving medical research, purchasing cutting-edge medical equipment, and providing vital patient and family support services at Queensland Children’s Hospital and paediatric facilities right across the state. 

Since the first Nine Telethon in 2014, more than $80 million has been raised to support sick and injured kids. How amazing is that! 

In 2022, Telethon will be broadcast on Saturday 23 April 2022, and will be jam-packed with entertainment, celebrity cameos, and some seriously extraordinary kids and their families.  

The Children’s Hospital Foundation truly works wonders and saves young lives. Through the Nine Telethon, our community can come together and ensure these wonders never cease.
