A Newcastle man has had his home renos and a trip to Europe paid for after winning the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prize. 

The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1248, drawn Thursday 14 March 2019.

Confirming his win with us this morning, the man told us he’d been dreaming of this day. 

“That’s just so crazy,” he laughed

“It’s incredible to hear this news confirmed.

“I scanned my ticket on the app and the win came up! I thought I’d won $200 but when I looked closer I realised I’d won $200,000. 

“I couldn’t believe it! I called my wife straight away to tell her!”

The man revealed he’d been playing Lucky Lotteries regularly, eyeing off the jackpot prize. 

“I’ve been buying a ticket into this draw every week since it was at about $15 million,” he explained. 

“I’m going to still keep playing it until it goes off!“

Maybe I’ll be talking to you again! I’m sure crazier things have happened!

“It will allow us to do heaps of great things, we will be able to finish the renos we’ve been doing around the house which is super exciting. 

“We’re heading to Europe later this year so we will be able to upgrade our holiday here and there.

“It’s really exciting!”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of 10 random numbers at Lambton Nextra, 97 Elder Street, Lambton. 

Lambton Nextra owner Trish Firth said it was fantastic to sell their first major prize winning entry.
