A Narellan woman has revealed she found herself in a relentless loop of checking her ticket after she scored more than $200,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The New South Wales resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1638, drawn Thursday 28 December 2023.

In addition to her $200,000 loot, the woman’s entry also scored a consolation prize of $1,000, bolstering her total windfall to $201,000.

“Thank you! Thank you! I’ve got my ticket in my hand and it’s not going anywhere,” she laughed when we reached out this morning to confirm her win.

“I checked my ticket yesterday, and the newsagency clerk said, ‘For some reason, it’s not working. It just says pending’.

“Then my daughter goes, ‘Mum that means something good!’.

“Then I went home and checked it online. Then I got my husband to check it. Then I checked it a few more times and a couple more times after that!

“It’s so weird and crazy and – just amazing!

“I can’t believe it really. I just can’t stop saying wow.”

When asked how she planned to use her newfound lottery loot, the generous woman revealed family came to mind first.

“Well, we’re not entirely sure but I think we’ll just help out the family,” she said.

“We’ve got kids and grandchildren so there’s plenty of people to share the love with.”

The winning woman’s entry of two consecutive numbers was purchased from Narellan Newsagency, Shop 33, Narellan Town Centre, 326 Camden Valley Way, Narellan.
